Dr. Street is a Principal Toxicologist and Biocompatibility subject matter expert at Medtronic and is responsible for strategy execution, biocompatibility evaluations and toxicological risk assessments. They received a doctorate in toxicology from North Carolina State University and pursued a career within the medical device industry as a toxicologist with a contract research organization prior to transitioning to Medtronic. They are a published author actively involved in biocompatibility-toxicology research and advocacy efforts to modernize biological evaluations and bridge the gaps between regulatory and industry for patient-focused assessments. Dr. Street is also involved with the ISO, where they are currently serving as an ISO US Expert and AAMI Co-Chair for working group 18.
